My Dream Home Project: Adding on an Extension to Enhance Current Spaceposted on 18 May 2012 in TechnologyI have always had a vision for what I'd like to do with my house, if the budget were doable. Part of the project would involve extending the back of the home further out. This new extension would have a lot of needed additions to the home, as a TV room. I'd love to add my Tech2o TV and speaker system to such aroom. At the furthest end away from the TV room, there would be a second bathroom accessible by decorative sliding doors. Surrounding those doors and lining the entire wall would be built in shelves of varying sizes. This would provide much needed space for books, CDs, DVDs, photographs, and knick knacks. Building this extension would put the back of the house in a reverse 'L' shape. At the new corner of that 'L', there would be a sliding patio door that would allow easy access to the backyard. This would also allow the closet currently present to be extended and become a walk-in area. This is just a part of what my dream extension has always been. |

A Beginners Quest To Explore My Spaceposted on 14 May 2012 in Arts and EntertainmentI am 20 years old and a typical old fashioned person who would rather stay at home and rest than to go out. I&rsquom a kill joy who always turn down any invitations especially on going bar hopping at night. Maybe because I was raised on a very conservative family and am too keen to finish school with great honors that&rsquos why I am like this. My friends in law school, which I am currently into right now, suggests that I should at least open my own facebook, twitter of my space account so that I could see the other side of my boring life. Curiously, I registered and made my own account of these social networking accounts. First, I registered on My Space too uninformed about it, I wondered why cant I hide my comments on myspace. My friends were too excited to know that I made an account that they flooded it with comments that are embarrassing. For them, their comments don&rsquot appear humiliating but for me, as a beginner, shrinks me deep with in. Seeing what these networks encompass has traumatized me and I thought of just deactivating the account. It&rsquos better to socialize in person rather online because it is only in personal contacts that you appreciate the people whom you mingle with. |

Avoiding the failures of direct customer serviceposted on 6 May 2012 in TechnologyMany have found themselves on the receiving end of bad customer agents. It is not fun when you make a call to a support line with the hope of getting assistance only for you to get a bad customer care agent. It has become so important for companies, both large and small to invest in customer service management techniques since they have been known to be of great value. In business, it is a known fact that how customers are handled has a great influence on how long a business will stay in operation and how much it will grow. Taking from the example of panasonic uk support, many companies have opted to pay large sums of money for computerised systems of customer care. This is because these systems are less prone to errors in poor treatment of customers. In as much as there is nothing personal to the computerized customer care systems, companies have found it better to use them since they can have less worry of losing valued customer loyalty. This can better explain why Panasonic companies have satisfied customers. |

What Could Have Been and What Could Beposted on 14 April 2012 in Internet RelatedYou should see Carlo now. He has changed in a lot of ways...far beyond you can imagine. He's made it big, you know. He has been improving website hits here and there. He has been making a lot of money, really. Jean was Carlo's girlfriend for at least three years. They broke up because Jean could not see a future with Carlo. He was irresponsible. He did not seem to care where his life was heading to. Back then, he did not have a stable job. It was understandable therefore that Jean found it hard to imagine a future with him. But that was a long time ago. Six years later, things would be different. Who would have known, right? But it is interesting to note that both of them are still single to this day. Is it possible that after all this time and after everything that has happened, it could still be them in the end? Well, only time can tell. But all of their friends wish both of them well. After all, they are good people, regardless of what happened to them. |

Creating a Safe Environment for the Benefit of the Workersposted on 9 April 2012 in Business and FinanceEvery employer is required to create a favorable working environment for their employees. This will not only ensure safety for the workers but also motivate them. The workers can work peacefully and facilitate the fast growth of the company. Workplace Law is aimed at protecting and fighting for the workers rights. The law was enacted to cover all the areas that are related to workers. Ensure that they are handled and treated fairly and equally by their employers. Every worker is required to conduct themselves properly around their working surroundings. They are at the same time required to work peacefully and co-exist the same way with other worker in the same organization. Workers are urged to adhere to the workers code of conduct, uphold high working standards and use the correct channels to report any issue affecting them. They should respect one another always, respect the workers laws and work together to build the company they are working with and the country at large. The law states that it is the duty of every worker to report any illegal activities going on in their work place. |

A Solution For A Very Lonely Manposted on 8 April 2012 in UncategorisedJames was a very sad man. He lived alone in a tiny little house. He had three cats that were like his children. James had never been married. He probably never would be. James seemed to have a lot of trouble making friends. He had a hard time talking to people, especially women. He wondered why this was. He wanted to be friendly. He wanted to find someone to share the rest of his life. One day James was at the doctor&rsquos office when he heard a woman talking about how her therapist had really helped her cope with life better. James wondered if talking to someone would help him too. He asked the doctor if He could recommend someone to share his feelings and thoughts with. The doctor recommended Dr. Summerton, even setting up an appointment for James the next week. James was scared at first. What would he do if the doctor thought he was crazy? James decided he had to take that chance. He went to see Dr. Summerton. He found Him very easy to talk to. Dr. Summerton asked James to tell him about his family. James shared stories of his childhood with the doctor. The doctor listened very closely, taking notes as James told things he had never actually said before. James&rsquo childhood had not been great. His Dad left when he was only four. His Mom worked all the time to support them. He was home alone a lot. After a few sessions like this, Dr. Summerton said he thought he knew what part of James&rsquo problem was. James was afraid to let anyone get close because he was dealing with parental abandonment issues. The only people that had been close in his life were his parents. His Dad left, never looking back. His Mom worked constantly and was not there when James needed her the most. James didn&rsquot want to let someone in for fear he would only be let down again. This actually made a lot of sense to James. He was happy to know that there was an actual reason he was so withdrawn. Dr Summerton promised James that he could work through these issues. There was hope for Him to get past the past and move on to a bright and fulfilling future. James was so happy. He was determined to deal with his issues and make many new friends. Who knew, maybe he would even find himself a girlfriend. |

What's So Special about an Old Phone?posted on 4 April 2012 in TechnologyJill was on her way to the library when she noticed that something was wrong with her phone. Although, her phone is not new, it is special to Jill because it was her dad's last present for her before he died in a car accident a couple of years ago. Somehow, just by looking at the phone, Jill is reminded of her dad and how much she was loved by him. The thought that her phone may actually need to be replaced already saddens Jill. She does everything to take care of her phone, wanting to use it for as long as possible. When she told her Jenny about her problem, Jenny advised her to call the samsung helpline to get some help. Jill thought it was a sensible suggestion and so she did just that. She called the hotline and thankfully, she was enlightened as to how to fix the phone problem she has. Jill could not stop thanking the agent who assisted her. The agent has no idea how happy she made Jill that day. |

The Effects of Her Procrastination is Very Visibleposted on 28 March 2012 in Home and GardenWhen life throws you lemons you make a pitcher of lemonade. It goes something like that I think and I was surprised when Ella quoted this it brought back memories of an Archie comics I've read before. I am not sure really what brought this on but all of a sudden Ella was sputtering quotes left and right about life and the usual hoopla that goes with it. AS she was quoting some dead poet Helena entered the room carrying a rather thick book on slating and tiling midlands plus a bunch of bond papers, project papers, pens and rulers in all forms and lengths. All talk actually stopped when she entered, Ana took a few things from her arms just time before they start hitting the floor. Helena looked pretty stressed out and I wondered if this is the result of her procrastination. It has become noticeable how Helena seems to drag her feet off during the early days after a task is given and then would go on a rampage when the deadline is near. |

A Document or Two Ready for Printing Every Other Dayposted on 26 March 2012 in Home and GardenIt was a good thing that I went to the internet cafe earlier than usual otherwise I would have been late for work. At first I was thinking of passing by on my way to work to have some documents printed but decided to do it earlier. The staff at the cafe has already befriended me seeing that I seem to have a document or two that requires printing every other day or so. This time though there was a bit of delay because she does not have sufficient change to my money and for that I was thankful I went there early. I was looking at nothing in particular when I noticed an orange colored something sticking out of the wall. I took a closer look and realized it was one of those electrical safety certificate that seems to be a mandatory piece of decoration on just about every establishment in the city. I actually smirked in disbelief as if some sort of certificate would guarantee that the place would not go in flames unexpectedly. |

What You Would Want in Flat Rate IT Support Servicesposted on 20 March 2012 in TechnologySometimes it is more convenient to play for Flat rate IT support services than when you pay for these kinds of services on a daily or monthly basis. It eliminates your headache in miscalculating your costs for repairs and maintenance. With a flat rate service, you either pay one contract price for an entire year or just one rate to do a specific project. Depending on the kind of company you will be dealing with and the kind of IT service you require, this payment system may turn out to be more to your advantage in terms of managing costs. However, in paying a flat rate, you and the IT company may have to agree on certain terms of service. You may want to include 24/7 support in network maintenance and monitoring with no extra fees being charged if the service is done after work hours, holidays and weekends. It will depend on how flexible the company can be and if this would be amenable in their service contract. |

Escaping the Noisy Call of His Girlfriendposted on 16 March 2012 in TechnologyEdward was in the garage fixing the car. He was too busy to be bothered by little solvable problems of her girlfriend. He was just about to get the wrench when his phone rang. He took the call and asked the other line what he or she wanted. You're so rude. Is that the way to talk to your girlfriend? He placed the wrench on the table and leaned against the car to take the phone call seriously. Sorry. I was just so busy with the car. It broke down again and I need to fix it right away. What do you need? Actually my phone broke too. I don't know what to do. Dad just gave me that phone a few days ago. I don't know how to fix phones and I know that you have knowledge on these things....and.... the list of reasons just went on and on. Edward didn't want to hear this kind of thing at the moment. He placed the phone on the table and got the wrench instead. The next thing he heard was that the line went busy. |

Google is a Taste of Heaven for a Curious Personposted on 15 March 2012 in Internet RelatedI have always been an extremely curious person filled with questions about even the most ordinary things. Now that I am over fifty-five, I also add to my usual “Why?” and “How come?” questions about things I am trying to remember and cannot think of at the moment. At the same time, I am also a person with attention deficit issues, and the old steps to looking for answers usually left me not bothering. Now along comes Google! Yes, searching has changed and is very affected by optimization techniques and marketing. A search for SEO Nottingham puts me in touch with dozens of marketing companies in my nearby area for example. Nevertheless, I can usually find answers pretty quickly. And the thing about curiosity is that it fills me with wonder, and wonder fills me with more questions, which lead to more searches. Yes, sometimes I turn to other search engines, but there’s rarely any need to do that. It’s just that sometimes I am curious about other search engines and where they might take me. For me, Google is a taste of heaven – that place where asking and wondering gives way not just to answers but to fulfillment and glory. |

A Little Gem Tucked Away in the Countrysideposted on 14 March 2012 in Food and DrinkMy favorite pub is an old place, maybe hundreds of years old, tucked away in the English countryside. The ceiling is low, with huge oak beams supporting the ceiling, sagging after years of bearing this heavy load. The pub is split into a number of rooms, with walls three feet thick. There are real fires in several of these rooms, a very welcome sight on a cold autumn or winter day. The bar has an array of beer pump handles lined up with strange named beers, and the variety of beers they serve is best illustrated by the fact that no two beer mats in the pub are the same, and each one boasts a different beer on sale there - it is a freehouse after all. The staff are friendly and will serve you without fuss, but will go to the effort to check up that everything is OK in a non-obtrusive way. Music may be played some of the evenings and waft around the rooms without being too loud. Food is available from a surprisingly wide menu and is always wholesome and terrific value for money. It is perfect for sitting having a quiet drink and chat, or just reading the local newspaper. |

Give people what they have a right toposted on 8 March 2012 in ComputersSometimes one is right and sometimes they are wrong about something. The best way to handle such matters is to be patient and to respect what people choose to believe in. before you reveal things as they are for them, you should make them understand that you respect their opinions and choices. If you think of going home and leaving the game halfway and they think that you should contact netgear and get help problems are bound to come up here. It would be good for both of you to calm down and get to settle the issue out quickly. It will definitely be an uneasy task for both of you but a trial will be good and harmless if it is done in a mild way. It will be good to give someone a choice and whatever they choose, let it be. If they regret later, let them regret and you will have washed your hands off that issue. It will be better to tell someone as it is than to hide and then they come to get hurt later. |

The Excitement of Internet Ad Bannersposted on 6 March 2012 in Internet RelatedWhen you are looking around on the internet you are often greeted with ad banners. These ad banners can often be very cool to see. They often are introducing you to a company or a product that you have never seen or heard about before. It is nice because with the banners you can see the quick little pieces of information about the product or service that the company is trying to get across to you and teach you about. If this information peaks your interested then you can click on it and you are quickly directed to their site to learn more about that product or service. If you are not interested then you can just ignore the ad banners and the next page that you go to will normally present you with a new ad banner to look at and hopefully that one will be of more interest to you. |

A Perennial Accessory for All Seasonsposted on 5 March 2012 in FashionFrom my vintage bags to my jewellery, I love to accessorise. However, one accessory stands out for me as a favourite. I love my scarves. I keep them where I can see them, hanging on some coat hooks in the lounge. There are only seven, and each has been either carefully chosen or arrived as a gift. None of them has a very loud pattern, or particularly bright colours apart from the red woollen one. The silk ones are suitable for mild to warm weather, the burgundy pashmina is soft and comforting on cool days, whilst the long, long purple scarf can wrap several times round my neck and keeps me cosy through snow and ice. I have to confess I do not have a particular knack for arranging my scarves – they either go in a simple cross-over, or wound round. Any attempt at more elaborate styles ends up with the scarf looking like a hastily thrown-on dinner napkin. My favourite of the moment is the pashmina, which was given to me by an old friend. I hope I don’t lose it on a train like the last one! |

What I've Found: Picking Up Trash Is Not So Badposted on 3 March 2012 in Construction and IndustrialI live on the beachside and often patrol the beach for rubbish. At the end of each month, especially during the summer, I find myself putting on my ppe workwear and picking up a vast amount of rubbish. I tried to get a friend to help me but they wanted to inform that there was too much work involved. They are just lazy. I have been picking up other peoples waste for over five years now and intend to continue the tradition. Some people just do not get it and discard bottles and take away food packages without thinking where it will end up. I have had to retrieve rubbish from the sea. It really upsets me as the rubbish has the ability to kill marine life. I spent two full days picking up the trash and would have been able to recycle 80% of the rubbish. I found lots of interesting items including an engagement ring, mp3 player and keys. |

To Dream of Painted Ceilings and Timeposted on 1 March 2012 in Construction and IndustrialI live in the house that my parents owned and which my mother's parents owned before them. It's an old house and of late has been falling apart. The skirting needs sanding, the walls need painting and though the ceiling is not in bad shape by any means (I hate going up my telescopic ladder very much!). It is painted in horrid orange hue, which I have detested for as long as I can remember. The new year has started and the hustle and bustle of life begins anew, but this year I have vowed to paint it. Any color would do, but I think I would settle for plain white. I remember as a teenager I would cover my ceiling with posters to block out the orange paint, but it didn't help much for anywhere else in the house that I walked. But this Spring I shall change all that, to the hardware store I shall go and paint shall be bought along with brushes and rollers. The hours it would take to paint doesn't compare to the years I have spent staring at it's annoying color, so it's all worth it. |
